ANGKOR WHAT?!!

Cambodia.

What is really happening in this beautiful, tradition-rich corner of Southeast Asia? I don't know, I don't really understand it. Their Past, their present ...I am reading about it, I am watching documentaries, movies, but i don't think I understand it.

The only thing I know is that I kind of fell in love with it.

Me love CAMBODIA!

THE TEMPLES: ANGKOR WAT

THE CITY: SIEM REAP

THE RIVER: SIEM REAP RIVER / TONLE SAP LAKE

...AND BETWEEN.

IF YOU GET TO SIEM REAP, DON'T FORGET TO STOP BY THE ANGKOR HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN AND GIVE SOME OF YOUR BLOOD...YOU HAVE A LOT OF IT! SO THAT WILL BE NICE.

BROOKE'S TREEHOUSE

First mock-up for this new project dedicated to my sweet Brookette. It was a good test before starting a much bigger version. Thanks to Emmet Stone for the pictures.

CHARACTER DESIGN #1

After too much reading of Dan Simmons and Isaac Asimov, here is the rough result of a character design test I made with wet clay. I recommend to anybody who wants to try this kind of medium to take a look at Don Lanning's classes on www.stanwinstonschool.com. This guy is not only a genius, but also a fantastic teacher.

THAIPUSAM 2014

Last January at the Batu Caves (Kuala Lumpur)... Never seen anything like that before. I realized that i could be a little bit agoraphobic.

FACE TO FACE

I have been invited as an Artist in Residence at the International School of Kuala Lumpur in December 2013.

4 classes, 70 kids, 10 days. Here some picts of our Triptych Bas-relief project.

Thanks to Ian Davidson for this awesome experience.

THE DRAGON'S BACKBONE

Just behind our house we can access the Tabur Hill (Bukit Melawati-Kuala Lumpur). Time to share some pictures and the video that captures the adventure on film. Thanks to Joe.

This Tabur Ridge is a long and narrow series of karst hills with a high content of Quartz crystals. The ridge itself, averaging 200 feet high, runs in a semi circle bordering the eastern edge of Kuala Lumpur city. The Tabur Hill Ridge is rated the Longest Quartz-Rich Ridge in the world.

LET'S START THIS NEW YEAR RIGHT.

Among the usual things on my new year's resolution list (that i burned quickly), one goal was to start a blog (in addition of this new website) to keep track of my different work and adventures.  So here we are...a blog, about art and techniques, video and photography, traveling and life experiences.
